Engagement: publishers launch reader clubs
The Times newspaper has already launched Times plus - a service that costs users £50 and gives them access to offers and services.
And the Guardian is currently developing a readers' club.
So, as the old publishing models falter, newspapers are looking to grow membership services. Be interesting to see how these work and how successful they become. Clearly, if the offers are good and there is value in being a member then they could work.
I haven't joined Times plus so am not sure how much engaegment there is around social proof and relationship building between users.

Welcome to Likedandnoted
I wanted to create a space to share links to and great examples of content, tools, apps, design. I also blog at itsdevelopmental on how technology is changing the way we learn and work.
